Gameday - Bruins @ Hurricanes 12/02/06

I have to admit it, I'm scared. The only real blemish on the Bruins record in the last three weeks occured when Carolina dismantled Boston 5-1. The Bruins record over that stretch is an amazing record of 7 wins and 2 losses (8-2 in 10 games). Lewis pulled Thomas from the last Carolina game for two reasons; one to save him from a further shalaking and two to try and motivate the team.

According to the Globe, Lewis is leaning toward Thomas as tonight's starter. Lewis said he would like to get Toivonen a start in the next two games, but that doesn't mean he will. Thomas has been utterly amazing over the past 10 games making highlight reel saves in most games.

Hopefully the defence will put up a wall against the high powered Carolina offence. The Bruins had twelve blocked shots in the Tampa Bay game with Brad Stuart the leader five. Wish I could watch the game tonight but I will be out at a Christmas party.

Enjoy the game.

For whatever it's worth, it looks like the B's will be without Mara again tonight.

He says he is going! As if e has any say in the matter. Hopefully he doesn't because Mara at 100% is bad enough, imagine Mara at 50%.

Scary...
