true or false

phil kessel is ready to be your second line center.

(this assumes savard as first line center and bergeron as third line center - and i am only assigning bergeron to the "third" because this is traditionally the defensively responsible pivot - not because i see him as the third most talented)

false - still not ready for "the bigs" yet. Has to become less of an individual player (learn team concept) and needs to learn how to play physical.
Maybe second line ready for the farnm now but not at the NHL level.

False

If he is a two line center he is going to need some god-like wingers. He does not have the physical abilities or NHL experience to be a 2 line center.

Choice three: don't know.

At the beginning of the season, probably not. But if he keeps improving his physical and defensive game, by the end of the season who knows?

So much of all these player questions depends on how well they end up playing as a unit anyhow. If things go well and the team excels, then the sky's the limit.

I only wish I was more optomistic that will happen next season. It saddens me to see so much talent going nowhere.

False

I do think though he could be the second PP centre though. It would be good experience for him and it would not detract from the PP to much
