Draft Lottery
The draft lottery was held this morning and the Bruins did not move; meaning we will retain the 8th pick in the 2007 draft. This years draft will be held at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, June 22-23. In a surprise, 5th place Chicago jumped to the number one pick while only having an 8.1 % chance to do so. Host Columbus will be drafting 7th overall.
As this is a "weak" draft this year it is possible that PC will try and move up to pick in the top five. I say this only because it may not be as expensive due to the lack of talent. Do we want to give up one of our prospects to move up? Patrick Kane would be a great fit as he scoring is desperately needed in Boston, but this is also the case for Chicago. With that assumption it might only be possible to land the second overall pick.
