some solace

first of all to all the fans that read here, thanks for coming by and my condolences on another lost season. i for one will continue to replay this season in my head all summer. today marks the beginning of the emptiness that is the offseason. i will also dissect the options available to the club privately and publicly. i will yearn for the sound of skates carving ice. i am sure some will be unhappy to hear that i also plan to continue posting. there however are some immediate bright sides that can be drawn from this season.

2 more points than last season - it was an improvement even if it was an agonizing one and if not for the awful finish it would have been a nice bumb up trending towards a playoff appearance next season.

their opponents in the division ottawa, montreal and toronto stayed the same or got worse this season and with buffalos ufa's i do not see them possibly being better next season.

the advantage some of the clubs had coming out of the new cba will have been lessened by one more year playing under the new system when our club gets to reunited with the others next fall.

believe it or not this team improved play in its division. last season the club was unable to beat buffalo once. this season 2 in ot i believe. they were 5 points better in the division and im going to say that this improvement denied toronto and montreal post season berths. this fact will keep the hallow spot in my heart company that i know there are tons more hurt hearts over the northern borders and we were in some degree responsible. YES!

one thing for you folks who love to think about how you can spend their money... i think you have to wait for zhamnov to fail his physical again before you can blow his cap money.... ouch! again! or what if he doesn't fail that physical - you pencil him in as your second line center....maybe there are not so many bright sides?

I'm not so sure what it means, but I hate how you never capitalize anything and use poor punctuation. I think Latrappe could do a better job than that.

pekese- since you posted both of the above posts anonymously i find that; well interesting. especially since in one you did not use capitals? care to explain?

that said i am, however, glad you have decided to stop berating me with the barrage of highly innappropriate antisemitic and homophobic remarks that needed to be deleted.

as long as you can continue to keep your anonymous posts civil i will continue to let them through. that said i will no longer allow you to post anonymously. every time you post anonymously i will let our readers know it is you.

as far as the capitals go, well your gonna have to learn to live with it or stop reading here. in respect to punctuation, well it is a weakness of mine and i will try to do better!

lastly you should know i am agnostic or atheist or even a secular humanist and married. if you want to berate me with things that will actually hurt my feelings, try my struggles with weight or even my poor punctuation. damn i have a difficult time deciding if a stupid comma is neccessary or not!

i would be happy to continue to discuss our difference of oppinions on my favorite team, but feel much better now that we both understand the playing field.

have a great day!
