Bruins Pound The Stars

Last night The Stars came at The Bruins with the worse game plan possible; try and agitate them and get them off their game. This, however, backfired BIG time as The Bruins stood up to the Stars and whooped them on the scoreboard and in the trenches. The Bruins won the game 5-1 and pummeled the stars with showers of fists. Agitators, Ott and Avery, made a farce of the game with their antics and should be beaten every time they play. These two goof balls have no integrity or respect for the game itself. I don't mind agitators or instigators when they respect the game itself (there is a place for this type of player) but Ott and Avery go way over the line and any team with any respect for the game of hockey itself should not let these two bozos play (they should not be in the league).

** Interesting quote from Stars forward Mike Modano (a class act player) after the game, "Tonight, it was idiotic and stupid. It was one of the most embarrassing things I've seen. If that's what we're going for, then they need to find me an off-ice job."

Aside from the circus sideshow that Ott and Avery were playing there was also a hockey game being played. The Bruins came out on top 5-1 with Sturm netting two while Kessel, Bergeron and Stuart had one each. The star of this game, however, was once again Timmy Thomas. Timmy stopped 35 Dallas shots as the Bruins were out shot 36-25. Timmy still leads the league in save percentage and shutouts and is second in goals against average; just 1/100th of a point out of first.

Savard had an assist and is still in 3rd place in league points. Our free agent signing, Ryder, also had an assist and now has 8 points in 12 games and is +7 (not bad at all).

The Bruins now have a little break as they don't see action again until Thursday when they play the Maple Leaves.

Go Bruins Go!!!
