Rumour Has it...

that Boston is going for Manny Fernandez. There are reports all over the place regarding this one and it is being said there might be a flop of 1st round picks and then a player from Boston of a significant cash value. Meaning Murray or someone of a lesser dollar value. This could be Axelsson, Ference or some other person. Also, I would not be surprised to see MacDonald thrown in as well. I highly doubt they will take Murray so look for two players if this does go through.

If PC gives up anything more than cap space on a one-year contract for a goaltender this summer I'll have zero confidence in him from that moment on. Why? Because it would signify that he's delusional about the playoffs this season, rather than focusing on rebuilding. The Bruins problems are not in goal!

Just for clarification. If PC trades for Fernandez we would actually have him signed for the next two seasons.

Regarding MacDonlad; I heard mention that he was a UFA as well but nhlnumbers.com reports him as a RFA. UFA or RFA he can be traded and signed before the July 1st. Someone like MacDonald would most likely sign cheap as he has little experience in the NHL. So therefore he is not an issue.
