FIRED!!!

So the Bruins upper management has continued to clean out the dead weight. This time it was assistant GM Jeff Gorton and scout Daniel Dore. I am not sure about Dore but Gorton is the guy who pulled off out two big free agent pick-ups. You might remember those guys...Chara...Savard, no? I guess he must have really pissed Chia Pet off.

I don't get this one... somethin's up that we're not privy to (yet).

Anybody know why CaM Neely was at the draft? What's up with that?

Well I think the reason they gave was Neely was there because he is now in the Hockey Hall of Fame. I suggested he will be the next assistant coach. I am always right therefore that must be the true reason ;)

Whoever the assistant coach is I hope he's a real hardass.

As for Gorton... didn't Jacobs just say something about how expensive a move it was to fire Lewis when he has such a long contract (2) and didn't they say they were going to reassign Lewis (2). Does that equal what I think it does? (4). Hmm...

Gorton deserved to be fired for signing Chara!!!!
However, signing Savard was a good move so he is even.

I almost said the same thing about Gorton signing Chara. But seriously, I think Chara is going to be a real asset to the team, once he decides it's worth his trouble...

I mean, have you ever wondered why he gets booed so much? Sure, he gets booed in Ottawa, and I it doesn't take a genius to understand why he gets bood in Toronto and Montreal too. But it goes past that. I swear he's the most booed B's player I can recall in recent times. He got booed in half the arenas they played in last year. I kept wondering why? I think he likely earned those boos (just not in a spoked B). All he needs, like much the rest of the team, is someone to hold him accountable for playing soft. Hopefully next season we'll see first hand why so many fans of other teams hate him so much!

As far as I'm concerned unsubstantiated rumors are a complete waste of time.

Well I can't speak for my other writers but I don't usually report on rumours unless there's substance to them. At the moment there are no rumours worth reporting. There are pleanty of other sites out there that enjoy writing about things that are nice but will never be. This is not one of them.

Besides that, I personally have little time to update because of household matters. Things will pick up around here in July, at least for a little bit.

I couldn't agree more, the firing of Gorton was yet another costly mistake by Chirelli. Truth be told, Gorton accomplished more in 3 1/2 months as interim GM than Chirelli did the entire year. As bad as the Bruins were this year, consider how horrific they would have been without Gorton's ability to sign Chara, Savard and draft Phil Kessell. Anyone who believes Chirelli could have pulled off the same should consider entering rehab!

From an outsider looking in, it appears Chirelli may have felt threated with Gorton in the front office, especially since the Jacobs family has continually and publicly praised the work of Gorton. I just hope Chirelli is not putting his own interests and agenda above the teams.

Certainly, Gorton proved he has the ability of putting the team interests far above his own while serving as interim GM. It is this type of character that builds winners!

Gorton is clearly a star on the rise and will find a job with relative ease.

Chaulk this one up to yet another Bruins loss!
