Bruins Fall to Islanders

Last nite the Bruins lost 4-1 to The New York Islanders. Boston were outplayed and outworked all nite but still had a chance to win late in the 3rd period thanks to some incredible goaltending from The Trapper. However, the lack of support in front of Timmy finally cost The Bruins as New York scored 3 times in the last 10 minutes (one was an open netter).

Game hilites:

- Once again Timmy made several hilite reel saves.
- Kessel plays keep away better than anyone in the league - with a bit of development he will be able to put this into some productive use.
- Murray scored his 27th of the season.
- Randy Robitaille (ex-Bruin) scored twice for New York.
- Boston outshot 38 - 25.
- Bergy never played.

3 Stars as picked by me:

1- Randy Robitaille
2- Timmy Thomas
3- Rick DiPietro

Boston's next game is on Saturday against Buffalo
Prediction:
Boston - 7
Buffalo - 4

Go Bruins Go !!!

A loss like this one is disheartening. I thought both teams played well. There was good hustle in the defense on both sides, goaltending was solid, and both teams managed some periods of offensive zone pressure.

Yet it was the Isles who got that critical second goal; they were simply a little bit better.

Yeah it was a really good game for the Bruins up till the last 10 minutes. They were pretty tight last week when the wto teams play as well so this was nothing to shocking.

Just wish they didn't have to fall apart like that.
