Timmah! Shuts Out The Oilers

Tim Thomas got his second shutout of the season tonight, beating the surging Edmonton Oilers 3-0. Thomas stopped 32 shots including 14 in the Oiler dominated second period. I am in need of some sleep so I will make this short.

Game Highlights:
  • Timmy Rules - 32 Saves
  • Brandon Bochenski - 1 goal, 2 assists
  • Marco Sturm - 2 goals
  • Jeremy Reich - kicked Matt Greene's ass (5 sec fight)
  • Patrice Bergeron - 2 assists (left in the 3rd with lower body injury)
After the game Boston called up defenceman Mark Stuart in preparation for the upcoming six game road trip. If you are counting, the Bruins have now won four of their last five games. The first game of the road trip will be the rematch against the NY Islanders. The two teams just played on February 10th, and the game was decided by Zedeno Chara in a 4-3 shootout win.

Draft Dodger can be found at www.inthecheapseats.com - the link is on our home page. Check his site out. He likes The Bruins ever since Ray was the sole reason for one of their (The Avalanche) cup wins:)

Just think... if we had a "real No. 1" goaltender, the score might have been less than zero!

One other thing: when the B's went up by two goals I nearly fainted! I mean, I was beginning to think I'd never live to see that again. ;-)

number4, we are definitely going to have to get someone better. While we are at it we should trade Bochenski, that guy sucks.

There is something wrong with the linking function for people without blogger accounts. It is possible it is due tot he new version of blogger, because it worked in the past.

I will send an email to support to see if they know anything.

That's eight points out of a playoff spot now, if anyone's still counting. If Thomas keeps playing his November-style of hockey and gets them to the playoffs, I *will* be forced to eat my words. Although, I am kind of full from eating all my Bochenski words...and he keeps giving me more! (which, naturally, is just fine with me)

Oh, BTW, I'll take some Ference and Kobasew words in a doggie bag, whenever they're ready.

Last night was one of those games where I actually *wasn't* worried going into the 3rd. Don't know why, but it's been a long time.

Man, I love Ference. That kid hits everything. And Reich is so far making Grady look like an ass for skating him 26 seconds in his first game.

funny thing about lasts nights game, i mentioned to treebob during it... things seemed very calm for the bruins.... they seemed to be unusually poised. the oiler shots didn't seem a threat and the bruins looked like they were in "control" even when they were not. i do not think i have noticed this since before the lockout with this team.....

They've won the last four of five games. Won, won, won. Use the right word, foo'!

That's all I care to contribute, because I didn't watch the game, because Boston is not Providence, and I am biased.

I am a fool, but in my defence I did say
"I am in need of some sleep so I will make this short."

Because it is Heather, I will fix my most retarded of mistakes. My most sincere and humble apologies go out to you.
