Bruins Bounce Back!!!

After one of their worst weeks in team history Boston rebounded with a 2-1 victory over Washington this afternoon. Yes, this is the same Capitals team that beat them 10-2 on Monday.
Boston came out of the gates and showed it's toughness with both Lucic and Thornton fighting early in the game. However, they still had problems finding the net until late in the game where they scored just enough to win (2 goals in final 6 minutes). All the goals in this game came via the powerplay.

Auld made 23 saves to get the win - unlike other sites I have been reading this week I am saying that Timmy will be fine and he has great mental toughness and those 2 bad games this week are in the past. This is a guy who doesn't give up remember - he played 50 or so years in the AHL and Europe to get his NHL break. As long as he doesn't try to break in new pads anymore during a drive at the end of the year with a playoff spot on the line he will be as good as ever:)

Todays 3 stars as picked by me are:

1 - Savard (assisted on both goals)
2 - Auld (is proving he was a great pick up to relieve Timmy when needed)
3 - Lucic (his fight 5 seconds into the game sent a message to Washington that today was not going to be as easy as Monday)

The Bruins play a BIG game against The Rangers tomorrow,a team they had recent success over - lets hope this trend continues!

Go Bruins!!!

Auld has been such a great pick up! Seriously, PC's trades have all been pretty smart. Not so sure about his free agent signing... but that one hasn't played out all the way yet either.

Neb I ment Worst week play wise.
3 games. L - 10-2. L - 1-0. L - 8-2
I have been a fan since the early 70's and three loses like this to all non-playoff teams is one of the worst weeks I remember.
