montreal ect

i am sure our brethren at the other blogs will find something to complain about, but what a game against montreal tonight! bergerons pass to sturm - perfect, chistov's move to seal it, a thing of beaty and a good crowd behind them! now back to the other topic, the other bloggers complaints have been so laughable! one was "not enought people at the games" but have they said they have been to a game? another was the coaching was awful, in a win in the middle of a 16-6 (or something) run.... the things these "complainers" can't complain about any longer? tim thomas - simple awesome in the first tonight. marco sturm, couple o big goals lately (again what a set up by bergy tonight). pual mara? well he has been playing steady d all season. he is second on the team in ice time, yes he is a minus 5 (chara is a minus 3) but he has been asked to play responsibly and i for one think he has settled in nicley. right now there is not much to complain about in bruins land, the team is playing competive hockey, hockey that can win in march for the first time in many years, the new year is looking bright!

How do even respond to someone who misuses the word "then" while insulting someone else's grammar?

Neb, that was a low blow. Making fun of Canadien's bloggers or celtics bloggers is one thing, but why make fun of fellow Bruins bloggers. We're all Bruins fans, we're all rooting for the same thing.

However, I am always open to criticism. I can see why you would think what I wrote is hypocrytical because I haven't attended many games. When I wrote about how the Bruins attendance has been poor, I was just trying to get more Bruins fans to get to the games. I was not trying to get all Bruins fans to be exactly like me.

Neb, I agree that things are good, but I wouldnt say great....TT is squeaking them out, esp these last 2 games. Chara needs to defend the pass on the shorty last night, and all in all the D is shaky at best. To watch York be held off the boards not moving his legs while a Hab forward was looking around for someone to pass to was killing me.
Not that anyone cares, but a holiday report card from Nevets on the d-men.
Chara- B-
He has made too many mistakes but we wouldnt be where we are w/o him. Poise and outlet passes are key.

Alberts- C
(I hope his eye is ok!) He needs to use his size more to his advantage.

Mara- B
I am with you Neb, I see that this guy has made his contributions....

Stuart- B+
No one is getting an A.

York- C-
If you dont have the raw talent, it takes that much more hard work. I dont see it very much from this guy.

Jurcina- C+
Not the same as the flashes of brilliance last year, but maybe he will come around.

On the brighter side, the power play has been FUN to watch lately!

Merry Hannukah, Happy Christmas, Feliz Kwaanza, and Happy Boxing Day to all!

im with you nevets (slightly over praising for the under recognizing i see else where). i do not agree with your grade on alberts (who is ok they showed him in the locker room after game - he lost vision for a while but the impact looks to have been on the orbital bone- gonna be an impressive shiner). my grade for alberts would be a B or greater. he (i think) leads the d-core in plus minus and he hits second only to stuart and is still growing into his role!

Alberts a C and York a C-? Wow. Alberts is at least a B and York is a D at best. But that's just me.

And I'll still complain about Grady Lewis, no matter what :-) When he has Stastny skate 1 shift the entire game and Thomas eventually breaks down from over-use (see last season), I'll be on his case.

Russ I am with you on the Thomas overuse thing, but he has already played more games than last season and he seems to be getting better!I think right now Lewis is down right scared of going to Toivonen.

So you going to skip the PODcast this week due to the holidays? i know I probably won't get to listen to it anyway. I like to listen to them in my office doing work. :)

Merry Christmas Russ!

I wouldn't bank on the Bruins making the playoffs yet. But I hope they do.
Just not at the expense of the Leafs missing the playoffs!
Great to see them beat up on the Habs last night!
Merry Christmas to all of you.

Merry Christmas to all you guys too!

Treebob, I may do a solo 'cast in a day or two. Just a quick update on the games, etc. I was actually happily shocked when so many folks emailed in about the contest, and told me where they were listening from. I got a kick out of getting emails from all over the US and Europe.

I'm with you on the office thing, I can only imagine how many 'casts iTunes is going to d/l for me when I get back to the office on Tuesday :-)
