Bruins Lay A Beating On The Hawks!!!

All I heard about The Blackhawks so far this season is how they now have a great young team. A young team is what they looked like last nite in Boston as the Bruins looked like men playing against boys. Boston humiliated this supposed good team that Chicago now has as they defeated them easily 3-1.

The 1st period was highlighted with the fight of the year so far as Chara laid the smackdown on The Hawk's enforcer, Koci. As former WWF wrestling star (and the greatest intercontinental champion of all time) The Honky Tonk Man would say, "the blood was flowing like Tennessee wine".

In the 2nd period Kessel scored 2 beautiful individual goals that will make every highlight reel today. This kid certainly has dramatically improved from last season.

Game Hilites:

- Chara being the monster he should be!!!
- Kessel scoring 2 great goals.
- Great defensive coverage by The Bruins.

3 Stars as picked by me:

1 - Chara
2 - Phil "The Innovator of Offense" Kessel
3 - Timmy "The Trapper" Thomas

The Bruins are now 6-3 on the season and are on pace for 110 points with a 55-27 record. It is an amazing turn around from last year so far but I think that they can play even better - a 120 point season is even possible this year.

Go Bruins Go!!!

Lets not get carried away though. This team still has a lot to prove to me.....

whoa whoa whoa....he comes back from out of no where and is looking for the bruins to suddently lay down the royal flush of seasons....

yes they are presently tied for 5th in the league for points..... but they need continue to improve and not put up stinkers like montreal and la for me to get too excited.

that said if the playoffs began today.... they would open at home against toronto 4th and 5th seed respectively.

Have you guys noticed how every time highly touted youngsters come to Boston, Kessel always quietly manages to outshine them?

Maybe someday the rest of the Hockey world will notice too, and he'll finally be the highly touted youngster coming to town.
